Manchester United highly-rated teen prospect, Tosin Kehinde, has met with the head coach of Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, in London. Kehinde is ready to play for Nigeria instead of England. The 19-year-old met with the first vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Shehu Dikko, alongside his parents before meeting with coach Rohr. Rated by many as one of the most talented kids in the U23s of the English Premier League giants. Rohr is in London for Tuesday’s international friendly against Serbia at the Hive Stadium. The German is seeking to make it two out of two in this international window, after the Eagles beat Poland 1-0 last Friday in Wraclow.

Unilorin gets new Registrar

The Governing Council of the University of Ilorin has approved the appointment of Dr Folaranmi Olowoleni as the new registrar of the institution . The Deputy Director, Corporate Affairs of the university, Mr Kunle Akogun , said this in a statement issued in Ilorin on Sunday. Akogun said that Olowoleni , who is currently a Deputy Registrar , will take over from the outgoing Registrar , Mr Emmanuel Obafemi , whose five -year tenure expires on April 28. He said that the registrar -designate, who joined the service of the University of Ilorin on Jan . 20, 1992, was a 1982 graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria . Akogun stated that Olowoleni obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. “ She also obtained a Master of Business Administration ( MBA) degree from the University of Ilorin in 1993, an M . According to reports, the man was caught in a nightclub after eating Sharwama, Suya and consuming enough beer. He was however humiliated and disgraced after his act was discovered as his photos were taken to show his real manhood.

A Federal High Court has ordered the Nigerian army 6 division to tender an unreserved apology to Nollywood actress, Ebere Ohakwe. This was after the court found the army guilty of human rights abuse against Ebere Ohakwe, which reportedly occurred on January 30, 2017. The actress was allegedly brutalised by one Olamilekan Suleiman, who used a stick and an iron to inflict injuries on her. The trial Judge, Justice Adamu Mohammed, consequently ordered the army to pay the sum of N1m as damages to Ebere Ohakwe. Babatunde Fashola FG spends N2.8bn on Gbongan-Iwo-Oyo road reconstruction, rehabilitation

•The Federal Government says it has spent N2.8 billion on the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Gbongan-Iwo-Oyo Road. Mr Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Works, Power and Housing, disclosed this on Saturday in Gbongan, Osun State, while inspecting the project. Fashola said that the road was awarded to Kopek Construction Company by the previous administration in 2011 at the cost of N6.9 billion. Represented by Mr Adetunji Adeoye, the South-West Director of the Ministry, Fashola said that Federal Government was committed to the speedy completion of the road. He said that the contract, with 18 months completion period, was delayed for three years by the previous administration due to delay in release of funds. Fashola said that the current administration had been providing funds to the construction company. Spain’ s Supreme Court said Thursday it has exonerated a woman whose jail sentence for tweeting jokes about the 1973 assassination of a senior figure in the Franco dictatorship had raised concerns over free speech. The high court cancelled the one- year jail term handed down in March 2017 by Spain’ s top criminal court to Cassandra Vera , 22, after finding her guilty of humiliating victims of terrorism. It considered that the jokes she posted about “ an attack that happened 44 years ago , without any offensive comment towards the victim, is socially and even morally reproachable in that it makes fun of a serious human tragedy, but a criminal sanction is not reasonable . ” Vera published 12 tweets between 2013 and 2015 about the assassination of Luis Carrero Blanco, the prime minister and heir apparent of dictator Francisco Franco who was killed in a car bomb attack in Madrid in December 1973 carried out by Basque separatist group ETA .
