• Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakin said he did not know why he did not award the penalty for the handball of Argentine defender, Marcus Rojo, for Nigeria on Tuesday evening, according to Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi Mikel said the referee admitted that the ball touched the hand of Marcos Rojo in the 82nd minute of Tuesday’s game but he put up a defense in not awarding the crucial spot-kick. The penalty, if awarded and scored at a time the match was 1-1, could have wrapped up a second round ticket for the Eagles. Speaking at the post-match briefing in St Petersburg, Mikel said: “I asked the referee if he thought the ball struck Rojo’s hand and he said ‘yes;. It's no longer a news that Super Eagles has been sent parking out of the World Cup by the Argentine, Timely neighbour at the World Cup, yesterday at Amphitheater, the place was filled to the brim, as student turn out massively to watch the match against Argentina, some with the hope of watching their last 9ja game at the Russia 2018 World Cup, some of Leo Messi's fans and other football lovers. During the match there was a general blackout throughout the campus, that more students troop in as the match was only projected at Amphitheater as at the time of the blackout, all thanks to UBA for that. The story did not end there, even after the Match due to the population of the student who came to watch the match, the bus available at the car park could not convey all students as it was not enough, Most of them eventually trekked home after the great defeat, injury upon injuries.

The accident that occurred at Ugwuonyeama on the Enugu-Onitsha, Seven people killed were members of same family

Eight persons, seven of which are of the same family, died in a fatal auto accident on Sunday, June 10. The accident occurred at Ugwuonyeama on the Enugu-Onitsha road at 8 a.m. The Spokesman for Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the accident occurred said the accident involved a Toyota car with registration number CM960FKJ and Toyota Hiace bus with registration number ENU75YY, belonging to a mass transit company. “The two vehicles collided,” he said. The PPRO said that seven passengers in the Toyota car, members of the same family, died in the incident. He added that their bodies had been deposited in the mortuary of the Enugu State University of Teaching Hopsital – ESUT, at Parklane. He said four others sustained injuries in the accident and were receiving medical attention at same the hospital, adding that investigation into the incident had commenced.

These women are fans of two Nigerian Facebook personalities, Tolulope Bashirat Adeoye aka Abike Jagaban (Omo Aye) and Tokunbo Aboderin (Omo Ewe). According to reports, the fight was as a result of the contents from each of the Facebook personalities post on their walls. The women fought and ripped their clothes off themselves. The police later came in to maintain law and order.
