My participation in political and socio-economic discourse has been at its lowest ebb for a long while now. Even though i'm no social media freak but i visit several social media platforms and online news platforms every six hours to check on latest happenings in the country. And as expected there is always a new gist about governmental actions and proceedings in the country. I have only chosen not to comment on the rather pathetic and horrendous shape of our country not because everything is quite good and cool instead its because every latest news about our country seems to be laced with comic and hilarious substances to which one cannot but smile and ponder over what our country has become, which brings to the fore the title of Chinua Achebe's book that indeed "there was a country". A Twitter user simply identified as Jeffery has taken to the platform to slam one of the housemate of the ongoing reality TV show, Nina. - Pastor Adeboye’s recent declaration that non tithers will not make heaven is still causing wahala on the internet - A Twitter user who is also a member of RCCG recently labelled the man of God a fraud - He also questioned what RCCG has done over the years with the tithes they have received There was an earlier report that popular preacher and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye had revealed that anyone who does not pay tithe will not make heaven. That video has elicited response from all over the country with many criticizing Pastor Adeboye for his declaration while others are in support of him. One member of the RCCG took to his Twitter page to label Pastor Adeboye a fraud because of his statement.
