Oil in my lamp! (Matthew 25:1-12)

On a pilgrim journey to Jerusalem
Bearing my lamp with me;
The light from my lamp flickered
Casting long shadows.
My lamp; my source of light
Guiding my path so I won't stumble.
As I journeyed on, it burned slowly and slowly
Until it became a little flicker!
It couldn't go further than a mile.
It burned out!
In thick darkness I wallowed.
Evil permeated the air!
I groped! I stumbled! I fell!
I held my cold lamp to my breast
As groans escaped my lips.
Sinking to my feet, I cried out for help.
"Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning"
And out of the darkness, a light shone.
It dispelled the darkness.
It gave me hope. It lit my life.
My lamp burned. My heart burned!
Cause I had oil in my lamp!
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine!
