AS the Court of Appeal delivers judgement on the authentic candidate
of the PDP today, the Ahmed Makarfi faction of the party has called on
its members and supporters to intensify their campaigns and promotion of
the Eyitayo Jegede/ John Mafo agenda.

The justice Ibrahim Salauwa-led panel at the Court of Appeal will
rule today on who should fly the PDP flag between Jimoh Ibrahim and
Eyitayo Jegede.
The party’s Publicity Secretary, Banji Okunomo said this is the
appropriate time for members of the party to propagate the Eyi/Mafo
agenda more vigorously as the November 26 election draws near.
He called on members to engage in house to house, unit to unit, ward
to ward and local government to local government campaigns so that more
people would come into the fold.
Okuomo said that the party faithful have nothing to fear as the PDP’s
authentic governorship candidate (Jegede) would soon find his name
back on the INEC’s list.
The party also condemned what it described as a stage-managed protest
by some paid employees of the PDP candidate, Jimoh Ibrahim, outside
the premises of the court of appeal
“We have noticed with great concern some barbaric moves by some
rented group of persons carrying placards bearing ‘Sherrif is our
chairman’ outside the premises of the Court of Appeal.
In clear terms, these placard carrying people are neither members of
the PDP in Ondo State nor any part of the country. They are, rather,
paid protesters drawn from Abuja suburb who are employed by Jimoh
Ibrahim of the Sherrif faction to cultivate public sentiments and pass
around wrong signals,’’ Okunomo said and expressed optimism that no
amount of intimidation should derail the court.

Comrade Yahaya Umar Faruk (Aluta mayo) was suspended for alleged misappropriation of funds and misconduct. The Students’ Representative Assembly (SRA) Speaker, Abdurahman Sadiq, made this known through the Clerk, Usman Isah Ndanusa. The allegations against the financial secretary were presentation of incomplete receipts, contrary to what was approved by the legislative house, missing of seven booklets of receipts, and unconstitutional behaviours during the proceedings. SU President Comrade Ayuba Muye confirmed Faruk’s suspension. A member of the SU, who pleaded anonymity, said the cat was let out of the bag when four of the five members who comprised SRA’s financial and budget committee discovered the ‘fraud’. The committee, thereafter, announced the suspension, the source added. In his defence however, Faruk described his suspension as ‘unconstitutional’, adding that few members of the union executed the sanction without going through due process. “I am not guilty unless there is fact...
