AT LAST, THE NEGOTIATION WAS SUCCESSFUL AND THE REST LIES ON LAUTECH MANAGEMENT - UPDATE OF THE NEGOTIATION MEETING HELD WITH THE MANAGEMENT, THE AGGRIEVED MEMBER UNIONS OF LAUTECH, STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES AND NANS OFFICIALS BY THE GOVERNMENT OF OYO STATE

I arrived at Agodi secretariat Ibadan by 9:15am as a result of challenges I met while coming to Ibadan. The bus developed a fault and there was no available bus to convey us immediately. I waited at the office of the Special Assisant on youths, students and sport to the governor, Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete because I have been told that he is the one that will lead us to governor's office which is the venue picked for the meeting.

I met with the vice-president elect of LAUTECH, MLS student who was invited as well and we discussed about the struggle to reopen LAUTECH gates that has been closed for months. Com.Solace arrived few minutes after, the SA came in and he debunked the rumour of Him collecting part of the money recieved on January 9 protest with some video clips. In the course of our discussion, NANS officials arrived ably led by the Senate President of NANS, Com. Salam Oyejide, Com. Balogun Niniola Toheeb and their delegates. They discussed with Solace and they explained to us how they facilitated this meeting.

The Vice- Chancellor and His Personal Assistant arrived at exactly 11:15am and The Aggrieved member unions representatives arrived before 10:00am but we were asked tp wait for the governor who arrived few minutes after the arrival of the Vice-Chancellor of LAUTECH.

Immediately, the governor arrived, The SA called one of his aides and we were directed into the governor's office where modalities defined itself. If you have ever been to a governor of a state, you will know what modalities is. We were called in but the governor requested to see five(5) student leaders of LAUTECH and five(5) other leaders who were invited in which the senate president and Oyo state axis chairman of NANS topped the list. I think I made the list as well.

Com. Solace Bakare, Com. Emir of DSM, Com. Great T, Lautech Mouthpiece, Inaolaji, Emperor of NLV (Someone stepped down for him) and one unknown comrade topped the five student leaders of LAUTECH which was solely picked by them and supervised by the SA, Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete.

The selected ten (10) representatives were called but we were asked to sit in a room next to the governor's office. I saw with my own eyes as LAUTECH Vice - chancellor, ASUU, NASU representatives entered into the governor's office and we stood up as a sign of respect to the governor's office while he greeted us with smile and asked "Are these our students? and SA replied Yes.

The SA came to us and asked us to present two people to represent us at the inner chamber and LAUTECH student leaders agreed that Emperor of NLV and Com. Great T of DSM should represent us at the inner chamber while NANS waited with us at the next room very close to the governor's office.

After several minutes, the NANS Senate President and NANS Oyo Chairman were called in since they facilitated this meeting which was raised by the SA on youths, students and sport.

This meeting lasted for hours. I was discussing with other comrades present while we were called in to serve as observers.

I observed carefully the smiles on ASUU, NASU representatives which shows that Agreement has been reached and 8month strike has been lifted at last but not yet announced because none addressed the media.

I noticed that the resolution made with the government by these aggrieved members need to be related by these representatives to their members, if they are in support of this resolution.

Both parties promised that LAUTECH will resume before 1st of Febuary and the strike will be lifted before this month runs out because both state govts. promised not to only to pay allowances fee but to make necessary payments to LAUTECH community steadly and at appropriate time.

The meeting ended with smiles, I mean friendly smiles as the resumption date was promised to be sent and communicated to students of this institution via email or text.

The Senate President of NANS engaged the governor in discussion and Solace called him the AUTHENTIC SENATE  PRESIDENT OF NANS, Com. Oyejide Salam after he was challenged by the governor that he onced said he doesn't know Salam Oyejide.

He explained thus " We have faction in NANS and ladokities doesn't trust NANS as a body but the authentic senate president of NANS is Com. Salam Oyejide and photo galores started.

They took pictures with World Youth President and Ajimobi said we should take pictures as well. I watched from a far while they take this pictures but I was called by the NANS Oyo state chairman repeated by the governor to come and take pictures and it was only then most ladokities knew who CHOCOMILO is.

I swear by God who I served that no money was given to anybody as at the time of writing this report because we recieved nothing but smiles, laughter from Ajimobi and other parties. May your conscience judge us and May God make his justice known.
