LABAKE'S LOVE written by Timilehin Of indios Of indios

Love is like a wind,We can't see it
But we can feel it,
Labake,The very first time I set my eye on you,
The wind has blown your love to me,
Since then,Labake anytime I close my eyes
The only thing I see is "Labake"

Even though am naturally shy
Labake, I took the gut to profess my love to you
Buh,Labake you told me you are going to think about it,
First week gone,
Second week gone,
One month gone
Finally, You called me and you told me
You've ponder on it
And you said,it can never happen between us
All she was glamouring for was friendship

This made me remember a saying,Which says,
"When a guy is in love, Everybody knows,
But when a girl is in love only the girl knows"

Month gone by,we see ourselves everyday,
Our friendship grows stronger day by day
We reveal our deepest secret to each other
People begins to think that we are dating.

One week gone after someone hint me about there observations
I decided to bring up the issue again
This time around, She turned m e down bluntly

I was somehow worried
I could not eat very well
I could not think straight
People around me begins to ask me about the problem
But I could not open up

Then I consulted one of my friend
In whom I can confide in
Opened up to him
Then,He told me girls are sometimes funny
That I should give her time, be persistent
I should never give up on Labake
I should continue to ask her out
At every given opportunity

Few month passed I continued asking
Asking for my love she stole from
She did not say anything
Then one day she came to my house

She told me that she has been carrying a burden for long
I asked her, what the burden was?
I made her remembered that,
A problem shared is a problem half solved,
I then asked her to tell me what the problem is all about
She made emphasis that the problem is getting out of hand

I then asked her to confide in me as her true friend
It was then she confessed to me that,
The very first day she saw me,
She started having this mutual feelings for me
I shouted Labake,Labake,Labake
She continued her confession by saying
It took her long to answer because she need to verify
If it is truly, that what I had for her is really a true love.

Finally,Labake Accepted me,
She then returned half of my love she stolen
While she hoard the remaining half to her self
We then shared one love,
Which is the true love

Labake was such a better half
She was such an understanding half
Labake was the lady who shared a real true love with me

Labake is the lady whom I planned to share my remaining life with
Labake, Oh labake
True love, a rear gene to come about
But I saw one with you
Oh Labake,Thank you for been part of me
