Pastor Paul urges Christians to take part in active politics

The Senior Pastor, House on the Rock, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, has urged Christians all over the world and Nigeria in particular to take active participation in politics saying, it is the only way to right the wrong.
He made the call during the annual programme “The Experience”media chat when he gave a shocker that, the country is faced with its current challenges because it lacks faithful and honest leadership.
According to him, “Righteousness, the bible says, exalts a nation, Proverbs 14 vs 34 and this explains why certain nations, irrespective of their religion are exalted.
He explained that, righteousness must be the bedrock of Nigeria’s three arms of government including the legislature, judiciary, the executive as well as the fourth estate, the media for it to be Nigeria to be exalted.
He however called on the church to take part in governance saying if the country would be blessed and have a turn around, the political system must be influenced and changed by honest and uncompromised Christians.
Voting for change is merely the beginning of the process. We the citizens are the potential change agents that God positioned on purpose in this location, Nigeria, to effect a conscious, deliberate, surgical overhaul of our culture, as we know that corruption has become our nature in this country and also an issue to deal with.
Speaking on the 2016 edition of the “The Experience”, he said, it has always been about revealing Jesus through music, as a platform on which gospel musicians showcase their talents and praise God for His abundant grace.
“It is my sincere prayer that “The Experience”2016 will further entrench values and the resetting of our nation’s moral compass for good, so that righteousness will indeed exalt our great nation Nigeria”, he said.
